OLYMPIA, WA - A Washington Medical Commission panel approved the summary suspension of Dr. Julia Barnett (#60729698) in November. 

Dr. Barnett was the facility medical director at the Monroe Washington Correctional Complex. As facility medical director, she administratively supervised and provided oversight for all medical providers at the correctional facility.

The WMC found Dr. Barnett's work fell below the standard of care for six patients, four of whom died. While the patients’ conditions were severe, all of these patients suffered unnecessarily due to Dr. Barnett’s lack of response or inadequate response to staff reports of the patients’ conditions.
