Spokane PA License Permanently Revoked

On July 6, 2022, the WMC revoked the medical license of Joseph Andrew Sutton, PA  (License No. PA60604531). The panel found that Mr. Sutton, PA violated violated the below RCWs and WACs related to sexual misconduct, abuse of a patient, practice the below the standard of care, and unauthorized use and disclosure of protected health information:

In February 2022, the WMC issued Mr. Sutton a statement of charges which found, among other things, the PA used his position of power and trust to engage in sexual boundaries violations that compromised the patient-provider relationship on numerous occasions. Mr. Sutton was already summarily suspended and waived his right to be present at the hearing. The Commissioners found that Mr. Sutton could not be rehabilitated and permanently revoked his Physician Assistant credential.

Currently, either party may request reconsideration which must be done within 10 days of service of the Order.  A petition for judicial review must be filed within 30 days of service of this Order.

The Public Records Act provides the right to any publicly disclosable information contained in the file. Interested parties may submit a request through the DOH Health Systems Quality Assurance Public Disclosure Unit portal.
