King County Physician Surrenders License

OLYMPIA, WA – In November 2023, the Washington Medical Commission (WMC) accepted the permanent surrender of the license to practice medicine of King County obstetrics and gynecology, reproductive endocrinology/infertility physician Christopher N. Herndon, MD (License #60788000).

Herndon is alleged to have replaced a patient’s selected donor sperm with their own when performing an intrauterine insemination procedure in 2009 while practicing in California. This procedure resulted in the birth of a child in 2010 with a different paternal donor than their sibling born previously through the same process.

Through this surrender, Herndon is not eligible to renew or reactivate his Washington license.
